Idyllic setting The complete rental house El Alma del Colmenar is located in the municipality of Cerdilla, in the National Park of the Sierra de Guadarrama. At the foot of Siete Picos and the Fuenfría valley, in an area of centuries-old pine forests.

Peñalara 30 minutes away is the Natural Park of La Cumbre, Circo and Lagunas de Peñalara.

Hiking (the path of the Poets, the Roman Causeway, the Navalmedio Valley ...) and active tourism activities.

Night trekking Taking advantage of the fantastic starry nights, you can make a night trek with contributions of astronomy, nocturnal legends of the area and small details of survival.

Horse trails

Ski. The ski resort of Puerto de Navacerrada is only 25 minutes from the house.

Culture & Heritage

Cercedilla. This mountain town hosts interesting samples of popular architecture, as well as monuments that you can visit during your stay: the church of San Esteban, the road and the Roman bridges, the laundry room or the fountains.

Electric Railway of the Guadarrama. This narrow gauge train, which is the C-9 line of Cercanías de Madrid, runs along the south face of the Siete Picos, linking Cercedilla with the Puerto de Navacerrada, and reaches the Puerto de Cotos.

Villages with charm. Discover the nearby towns scattered around the Sierra de Guadarrama, such as Navacerrada, Guadarrama, Rascafría, Collado Mediano or San Lorenzo del Escorial.
