Villa Pedra is a collection of rural houses built on the ruins of the old village of Cima, on the slopes of Sierra de Sicó and very close to the city of Coimbra. Carefully respecting the spirit of the region, old construction techniques were used to recover the limestone blocks walls covered with ocher lime, preserving its ecological and aesthetic base, thus guaranteeing an absolute comfort at any time of the year.
The compound includes 12 recovered houses of from different typologies, two of which were former primary schools. All houses are equipped with bedroom, living room, bathroom, kitchen and outdoor area with terrace and / or garden. Some of them also have a fireplace, outdoor barbecue plus another room and bathroom, allowing families a comfortable stay. Each house may accommodate from 2 to 6 people.
Its decoration combines the rustic atmosphere of the countryside, as demonstrated by the calcareous stone peeping from any corner and old furniture recovered, with the art deco style, vintage pieces and travel souvenirs. Villa Pedra offers breakfast with fresh bread, fruit juices, milk, coffee, tea, cereals, butter, eggs from the corral, Rabaçal cheese, homemade jams and fruit jam, so that the guest may prepare in its own home, with no restrictions whatsoever.
There are also gardens and terraces to enjoy outdoors, a pool to cool off, massage service and a chill out area with breathtaking views of the mountains. In the surroundings, you can practice numerous activities, enjoy cultural visits or discover the Roman heritage of the region.
