Alma Calma is a four-bedroom adults-only Rusticae hotel on the island of Fuerteventura, at the foot of Tindaya Mountain.
Laura and Massimiliano, the hosts of Alma Calma, fell in love with this old abandoned house facing the ocean and renovated it using lime and recycled wood to fulfil their dream: to welcome their hosts in an oasis of tranquillity in the middle of nature with the aim that they experience the island not as tourists but as a majorero inhabitant.
Enjoy the hotel's homemade breakfasts and dinners, carefully prepared with local agricultural products. You can also taste the delicious papayas grown in their organic garden.
Sustainability is one of the main values of the accommodation: every drop of water consumed is recycled and used to irrigate ornamental plants, every drop of rainwater is stored in old cisterns and used to irrigate fruit plants, the soaps are made with locally produced organic aloe, and light pollution is kept to a minimum so that you can enjoy the spectacle of the Milky Way every night.
The wifi connection is weak, and almost disappears on windy days, but at Alma Calma you'll feel more connected than ever, far from the laws of the city and in permanent union with the Atlantic. The hosts' pets live free in the common areas.
