-Active turism. In addition to nature walks, you can also practice cycling, kayaking, climbing ...
-Spectacular scenery. 4 km from Aldeasoña is the Duratón River. A few kilometers up the river is embedded in a canyon. This area is less known than the one near Sepúlveda but equally beautiful. Couples of griffon vultures nestle on the high rocky cliffs that culminate the sickles. The river can be seen renting a kayak in the Serranilla or taking a nice walk in the upper part from a path that starts in front of the mill of San Miguel de Bernuy.
- Natural Park of the Hoces del Río Duratón (50 minutes from the house)
-Ribera del Duero - Wine Route (15 km). Aldeasoña can be a good starting point to know the Ribera del Duero, its wines and its cellars. There is a whole oenological route with unique wineries worth knowing such as Protos or Pago de Carraovejas.
Culture & Heritage
Peñafiel (19 km). It has a castle built in the tenth century that today appears in most rankings as one of the most beautiful and best preserved in Spain. Next to it is worth visiting the Plaza del Coso, whose 48 adobe, stone and wooden buildings make this square a monument in itself.
-Fuentidueña (12 km). Powerful enclave in a historical past as the seat of a county and head of one of the communities of Villa and Tierra. The whole of the population is very attractive and on it stand out, on a hill, the remains of what was once a castle; There is also a piece of the wall and a door that is fairly well preserved to access the Villa, in which the Romanesque church of San Miguel is embedded. Fuentidueña continues to suffer from the loss of the apse of the church of San Martín, which is located in the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
-Sacramenia (9 km). Possessing several Romanesque temples highlights the church of San Miguel. A short distance away is the Coto de San Bernardo, a privately owned Cistercian monastery that can be visited on Wednesdays and the day of San Bernardo (August 20).
-Cuéllar (27 km). It is the second population in inhabitants within the province of Segovia and the main nucleus of the region in Mudejar style. In the Villa, more than a dozen Mudejar churches were constituted in a single century. The churches of San Martin, El Salvador, San Andrés, San Esteban (which has an apse considered the most beautiful of this style), Santa María de la Cuesta, etc. stand out. Cuellar also stands out for its Castle for its encierros, considered the oldest in Spain.
Gastronomy
If you are one of those who enjoy good food and drink, do not doubt it ... Lechacito de Sacramenia or Campaspero and good wine from Ribera de Duero or Valtiendas
