The International Classical Theater Festival of Almagro (Ciudad Real) is a must for this summer. The historical capital of Campo de Calatrava will host the 42nd edition of this festival from the 4th to the 28th of July. Stay in La Casa del Rector Hotel in Almagro. SAN SEBASTIÁN JAZZ FESTIVAL

Music lovers have a date with San Sebastian Jazz Festival. Celebrated since 1966, it is the oldest in Spain and great jazz figures, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis and Ray Charles, have performed their best songs on it. This year, it will take place from July 24 to 28 in different parts of Donostia. Your hotels in San Sebastian are Villa Soro, a beautiful centennial villa at just 10 minutes walk from the Kursaal, the old town and Zurriola beach, and Arbos House, a historic Neo-Basque style villa, at just 15 minutes walk from the center of the city.

Descent of the Sella

The International Descent of the Sella is the great Asturian summer event, which will be held on Saturday, August 3. Around a thousand Spanish and foreign paddlers will travel in their canoes the 20km that are between Arriondas and Ribadesella. Enjoy the great atmosphere of the starting line, follow the competition from the Fluvial Train and continue the feast of the canoes with typical dishes, cider and music. In Ribadesella you can stay in La Calma, an only adults boutique hotel, which is aimed at retreats of relaxation and well-being. A little over twenty minutes you will also find Hotel El Babú (Caravia), a charming hotel to enjoy the Descent of the Sella.

Known as "The Queen of Beaches", Zarautz (Guipúzcoa) is the largest in the Basque Country and the icon of this coastal town. Besides the walks and the baths in the sea, the Zarautz beach invites you to practice surfing. Surfers like Hodei Collazo and Aritz Aranburu have surfed on this beach. If you want to learn or improve your technique, there are several surf schools. Enjoy the sport par excellence of Zarautz! You can stay at the Hotel Zerupe, in the center of the town and very close to the sea. It used to be an industrial building and now it has been transformed into a very innovative charming hotel, combining concrete, steel, glass and natural wood with large images of the Urola Kosta region.

Without forgetting the wetlands of the area, the Canal de Castilla and the local cuisine, washed down with Ribera del Duero, Cigales, Rueda or Arlanza wines. In El Cerrato region, a few minutes from the village of Baltanás, you will find the ideal accommodation to enjoy Camino de Santiago in the province of Palencia. This is Finca El Cercado, a 50-hectare estate surrounded by an old medieval wall. In the middle of nature, you can rent one of its two houses or both together and take your friends or family.

Another route that will leave you speechless is Caminito del Rey, in the interior of the province of Málaga. It is a more than 3 km complicated walkway which cross the natural landscape of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, more than 100 meters high. Its origin was none other than the construction of a hydroelectric power station, and its name comes from King Alfonso XIII, who opened it. Today is a path enabled to enjoy the views of the Guadalhorce river canyon. In the province of Malaga, we have two great little hotels on Costa del Sol. The strength of the Bay of Biscay has created a wild landscape of vertiginous cliffs in the Asturian West. Do the Cliffs Route, from Cudillero to Luarca, to discover this route. In addition to visiting these picturesque villages, you will pass by Cape Vidio, the impressive Playa del Silencio, Cadavedo or Cape Busto, with a constant view of this cliff-like coastline.
