This manor house, 50km from the Spanish border and included in the Artistic inventory of Portugal for its frescos and wall paintings, is soon to receive the classification of Building of Public Interest. It was built in the 18th century and underwent several extensions over the following centuries. Casa do Terreiro do Poço charming hotel consists of three main buildings on the front of the house and two houses at the back, which open out onto a small orchard full of citrus trees, a swimming pool and ecological kitchen garden. The décor combines classical and contemporary styles; 18th century Portuguese arm chairs with oriental sofas and African tables. The walls are painted indigo blue, shades of green and ochre contrasting with the grey slate floors and the old wooden waxed doors with wrought iron work.
