Located in the Eixample, Granados 83 Hotel in one of its refurbished buildings—once the Pujol i Brull Clinic, and now a designer hotel—this structure forms part of the glorious old heart of the "new" Barcelona. This neo-classical building dating to the beginning of the 20th century was reinvented with a symphony of diverse elements ranging from bare brick industrial aesthetics to furniture in the styles of recent decades along with decorative pieces of Asian art. It becomes apparent that we are in the home of Jordi Clos, founder of the Egyptian Museum of Barcelona and proprietor of the trendy Hotel Urban of Madrid. The ambiance of the rooms tends toward minimalism, although somehow there is an uncanny diversity from one to the other—including some as lofts in a Zen style. The split level suites have two entrances, one to the living room and the other on the upper floor to the bedroom and bathroom, respecting the privacy of both spaces. Indian, Indonesian
and Burman sculptures of high archaeological value enrich the decoration. A pleasant cocktail bar and a library are available on the ground floor. The upper floor is reserved for other pleasures: swimming pool, solarium and bar-terrace.
