The cottage "El Jardín de la Sierra de Gata" is located in a privileged enclave of air and light, of generous and crystalline waters, rivers with generous and crystalline waters, streams, gorges and natural pools. Exceptional places for a summer stay and for the practice of recreational activities such as fishing, hiking and horse riding.

It is the ideal place for a family getaway, where you can enjoy nature at its purest, in an area that is little exploited for tourism and where there is much to discover.

SPORTS AND ADVENTURE /

In the house they work with different companies dedicated to the tourist sector, which offer the clients the possibility of doing different activities such as 4x4 routes, horse riding, or bird watching. They also offer the possibility of visiting an old mill where oil was made until a few years ago, a new and modern oil mill, a handmade candle workshop, etc... In addition, the interest in taking advantage of the nature itineraries has grown due to the educational and cultural value that we have, for this reason a network of trails has been set up. Routes such as the Enchanted Forest, leaving from Hoyos itself, or the Cervigona Route, with an impressive waterfall at the end of the route, or the Almenara de Gata route or the Trevejo Castle route, will leave you with a wonderful memory of what this region has to offer its visitors.

CULTURAL /

In the area surrounding Casa Rural Jardín de la Sierra de Gata you can visit towns that offer interesting examples of popular and religious architecture such as Acebo, Gata, Cáceres, Trevejo and Robledillo de Gata, which have been declared by the Department of Culture and Heritage of the Regional Government of Extremadura as a Site of Cultural Interest with the category of Historic-Artistic Site.

INSIDE THE HOTEL /

The main living room of the house has a magnificent fireplace to make the winters in the Sierra softer and cosier, and a dining area where the wonderful breakfasts that we offer will be served.

On the first floor, the house has an open-plan area divided into two parts, one for reading room where you can consult and enjoy the great books, newspapers and magazines that the library has; and another part dedicated more to living room and area with board games.

In the basement and with access through the garden is the cellar of the house, a cool place for hot summer days, and currently used as a games room with table football and table tennis.
