Palau de Miravet is a unique Rusticae accommodation for people with a sensitivity for art and landscape. It is the most emblematic building in the historic centre of Miravet (Tarragona) and occupies a privileged location overlooking the Ebro.
The original Palau de Miravet palace was built by the Master of the Order of the Hospital Pere Ramon Sacosta (1446-1461) and destroyed during the Reapers' War. The current manor house was built in 1840 and in 2008 it was acquired by its current owner Santiago Marsal. It was then restored and refurbished to become a guest house and art centre in homage to the painter Joaquim Mir, who lived and dedicated part of his work to Miravet between 1929 and 1930.
On the first floor there is a central art gallery-lounge displaying reproductions of paintings by Joaquim Mir dedicated to Miravet, including Fantasía del Ebro II, on loan from the Reina Sofía.
Choose from the accommodation options at Palau de Miravet: the Mir flat, the Murabit rooms, with a large balcony overlooking the Ebro, the Comanador, the Nui de la Ribera (adapted for people with reduced mobility) and the Sakura Zen suite. All rooms overlook the river Ebro and have their own balcony.
