A perfect weekend Hotel Ritual de Terra & Spa
From the Hotel Ritual de Terra we propose to get to know Xàbia, which is one of the most charming municipalities in our territory.
Xabia! A small fishing town, located north of the Costa Blanca, between the capes of La Nau and Sant Antoni, in the Marina Alta region, Alicante. Discover the interesting mix of beaches in Xàbia. 20 kilometers of coastline from Cova Tallá to Cala de la Granadella. Today what most characterizes Jávea are its whitewashed houses, iron railings and lintels carved in a porous golden earth called "tosca". Practice tourism in the Valencian Community and discover the thousand corners of our territory. But Xàbia has much more to offer in its 20 kilometers of coastline: from small beaches surrounded by pine trees that are very suitable for scuba diving, such as Granadella, passing through nudist beaches such as Ambolo, to small coves such as Portichol or La Sardinera. And towards the interior we find the most traditional Jávea of the riu-raus or the orange groves.
One of the main natural attractions of the Xàbia coastline is the exceptional panoramic views that can be seen from the 15 scenarios scattered along its coast. This is the Route of the Viewpoints of Xàbia, which offers you privileged enclaves next to the Mediterranean where nature has shaped a landscape that captivates the visitor's senses. The viewpoints are indicated from the road and there are information plaques on each of them, so it is very easy to find them, and you can also reach them all by car. A perfect plan if you don't know what to see in Jávea on a weekend, this is the main one!
Day 1
-Morning: To get to know Xàbia from another perspective and discover the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve, we recommend taking a boat trip around the bay. There are different options such as underwater vision, catamaran ride, sailing, motor… For the more adventurous we recommend renting a kayak and exploring Portitxol Island, Descubridor Island or one of the many caves and coves only accessible by sea. An experience that, without a doubt, will not leave any member of the family indifferent.
In addition, Xàbia is located about 90 km from Ibiza, making it possible on clear days to see the profile of the island from the two important capes of the place.
-Afternoon: One of the jewels of Xàbia is its old town, one of the most beautiful on the Costa Blanca, with its medieval network of small cobbled streets and stone houses. We encourage you to visit the historic center of Xàbia in the late afternoon, after a morning of sun and beach and a short siesta; it is something essential. Among its most notable buildings are the Church-Fortress of San Bartolomé, in Elizabethan Gothic style and declared a National Artistic Monument, the Town Hall, the Municipal Market of Abastos and the ostentatious houses that the local bourgeoisie had built at the end of the s. XVIII.
-Night: Dinner in the old town and enjoy its gastronomy.
Day 2
-Morning: Get up early and paddle surf watching the imposing Xàbia sunrise from any of its locations. It can also be combined with yoga classes that are practiced along the coast. With a good Mediterranean breakfast afterwards.
-Afternoon: In the afternoon we launch ourselves with a diving baptism since, submerging in the waters of Xàbia is living an unforgettable experience!
One cannot end the weekend without having hiked through Xàbia, and by the way say goodbye to the day in one of the wonderful enclaves.
-At night: Enjoy one last and wonderful evening in our MADRE restaurant, where you can taste the best cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
