Posada de San José (Cuenca)
La Posada San José is in the very heart of Cuenca. It used to be a typical 17th-century hanged house which belonged to the Velázquez family and was later converted into a singing school in the historic-monumental center of Cuenca. It has stunning views over the sickle of the Huécar river. It also has a restaurant where you can enjoy the best Castilian cuisine (request one of the tables with views!). In Cuenca there are two train stations, the modern one, for long-distance trains, is the Fernando Zobel AVE station located on the outskirts of the city. From here you can take a bus to the center (Line 1). The older station is in the center, for Medium Distance trains. Either option is great for a train getaway to Cuenca.
