The complete rental house Xesteira is ideal to enjoy a family holiday, thanks to its wide spaces, its rural atmosphere and its privacy. Its four bedrooms with private bathrooms can accommodate up to eight people.

To Xesteira. The house is immersed in the small village A Xesteira, a place that has a long history of rural life. Just going for a walk in the village and its surroundings will be a whole new experience, living with animals and amazing landscapes. Among other things, you can lie down in its soft pastures, take a bath in the river pool or pick mushrooms.

Enchanted forests. All Galicia is a great green blanket and you walk where you will find some fantasy place to live your own adventure. Re-treat yourself with the century-old chestnut trees of La Fraga de Catasós, in Lalín, which are the most spectacular in Europe.
Walk among vineyards. The vineyard is one of the protagonists of the Galician landscape. Discover the Wine Routes by walking among vineyards and try some of the best wines from the international scene, such as Ribeiro, Rias Baixas or Ribeira Sacra.
Thermal springs Bicarbonated waters, chlorinated, silicate, sulfurized ... In Galicia, water has magical powers. Enjoy its healing and relaxing waters, such as those of Sousas, Fontenova or Cabreiroá.
Beaches. Walk the Galician coast and enjoy its beaches. You will not regret if you go to the Ría de Arousa with the beach of A Lanzada, one of the best-known beaches of the Rias Baixas, 48 km from the house. You can also take a bath closer, only 20 km away, on the beaches of Mogor and Lourido, in Poio.
Island of Arousa. This island is located in the heart of the Arousa estuary and can be accessed by crossing a 2-km bridge. With 36 km of coastline, 11 of them are beaches of fine white sand. On the island you will be surprised by the presence of wild animals and the colorful vegetation.
Dunes of Corrubedo. The large mobile dune is the most famous. With more than 1 km long, about 250 m wide and some 20 m high, the Corrubedo mobile dune is imposed from a distance in this natural park that is the most visited in Galicia, where you can also enjoy the beach of Corrubedo, the lagoons of Vixán and Carregal and the lighthouse of Corrubedo.
Cies Island. Accessible by boat from Vigo, Cangas or Baiona in high season, the Cies Islands are declared a Natural Park and are home to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world: Playa de Rodas. In addition to its beaches, the walking routes on the island will leave you speechless with its unique flora and fauna. The route to Mount Faro is preferred by many due to the spectacular nature of the climb to the summit with a magnificent panoramic view that will compensate for the effort.
HISTORY, CULTURE & HERITAGE /
Castle of Soutomaior. 20 km from the house you will find this 12th century castle, one of the best preserved in Galicia.
Campo Lameiro. This is one of the secret jewels of the area, only 20 km from the house. Feel the emotion of admiring the mysterious petroglyphs of Campo Lameiro in the moonlight, the largest concentration of rock engravings in Europe.
Ribeira Sacra. In this area there is the largest concentration of Romanesque buildings in Europe. Get involved in this environment to visit such special places as the old convent of Santo Estevo de Ribas do Sil or the monastery of San Pedro de Rocas.
Pontevedra Casa Xesteira is located 12 km from the city of Pontevedra, an essential visit to discover its old town full of history, culture and leisure. It is one of the most beautiful and best preserved historic buildings in Galicia. Discover monuments such as the Basilica of Santa María la Mayor and enjoy its walks and good food.
Combarro. At about 6 km from the city of Pontevedra you will find this small town, one of the most picturesque of the Rías Baixas. Built on the edge of the sea, on the granite rock, its historical set is one of the best preserved examples of popular Galician architecture.
Sanxenxo. This city of coast and vacations is known throughout the world for its magnificent beaches and lively nightlife. It is 33 km from the house. Take the opportunity to also discover its historical wealth by visiting its pazos, churches, chapels or cruceiros.
Santiago's road. The Camino de Santiago is one of the oldest pilgrimage routes in the world and at Casa Baiona you can take a stage and become a pilgrim for a few days. The passage through Galicia begins in the town of Sarria, which puts in contact with the most rural Galicia. In Monte do Gozo you can already see the towers of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, a World Heritage City and the final goal of the Camino.

Gastronomy
Another attraction of Galicia is its extraordinary and varied cuisine, in which fish and seafood are the protagonists. Try typical dishes such as the famous octopus with feira, scallops, barnacles, lacón con grelos, capon, empanadas, tetilla cheese, sweet pancakes, albariño wine, coffee liqueur ...

A little while in the open air. What makes the Xesteira house more charming is the environment in which it is located, a haven of peace with an immutable nature for centuries. Rest on your porch guarded by a centenary lemon tree, take a dip in the pool or stroll in the garden.
Nature walks. After passing the centenary hórreo, you can enter the forest. Just two minutes walk you will find a delicious river with its banks bathed by chestnut branches. Following its course you can enter a path that will surprise you with old stone mills and exciting forest routes.
Like at home. Feel at home while you rest in the room, read a book in the library by the fireplace or enjoy a family meal in the dining room of the house.
